Teaser shots of my AMT Concept Camaro model project
Hey guys...heres a Camaro model I'm working on at the moment, Transformers got me inspired to work on it, and a visit to some Corvette forums to drool over Z06's have sent me in a style direction
trying to decide on wheels and front end treatments, but the flares on the back and vent will stay. I'm doing this in Z06 Vette style with the widened flares and vents out back for the monster meats, I also had to do the RS grill with hideaways Hope you guys like it! I'll be moving over the next few weeks so progress will be slow, let me know what you think! I'll give a little more insight on it once some further progress is made... Gray |

Hey Gray, very cool.
I like the first pic. with the chrome wheels. Where do you find the flares, etc.? I assuming from other model kits? I enjoy building models occassionally as well. Here was my latest 5th Gen. version. |

Both of those look pretty nice. I really hope that is not a lip spoiler a few pics down gray. Maybe it'll look like it goes when it's placed at the bottom of the bumper. Other than that, I like the chrome wheels too. I'd see if you can get the fenders further out to house the wheels or tub them like old school.

thanks for the compliments guys...the tan resin front lip isn't attached to the car yet, it should look like this when done though.. except I may make it carbon fiber with some decal. I decided last night that I'm going with that lip instead of the other stuff I was going to try to make(the white plastic on the front) the tan resin lip was purchased off of ebay I'm going to use the red wheels (which are from a Ferrari Enzo kit) but I'm going to paint them in a color similar to the comp. gray wheels used on the Z06, color will be something close to Le Mans Blue...I think...I'm still trying to decide on that, or black, or dark metallic gray, or red, and on using some stripes... anyway thanks for the compliments guys.. I found one at Wal-Mart that was something like 10-15 dollars. It wasn't a bad deal at all....but.... Then, I realized I was going to need to paint it. Okay...spray gun is the only way to go. That was another $25. Then, I needed paint...another $11. Glue, etc... All in all, I think it was going to run me close to $65 to make a NICE model. I decided to pass at that point.

Aaagh, this is driving me Nucking Futs.
First there are no Hasbro Transformers Bumble bee Camaro Concepts availiable in New Zealand, and I can't find any on the inter net for under NZ$100. There are no, I mean no Die Cast Camaro Concepts here, I've driven to every toy and hobby shop I can find and there is nothing. I found one on line, but it and it's shipping to NZ will cost me close to a $100 as well, now I've got to go try find this damn model. By the way, anyone know why the Transformers Bumble bee toys are so damn hard to find? You’d think Hasbro would just make more of them, is there some sort of shortage or production delay? |
