Sweet ride! Very clean, simple and kick ass!

I would love to see some closer shots of the center console. I am curious as to what protects the speaker cones in the doors? Are there any covers that go over the openings? I am not real familiar with new stereo systems and thought maybe this is just their way to showcase the speakers. I would be afraid of someone poking their fingers through the speaker skin. Call me naive.

I think the side skirts and the front is made by Fesler. Fesler has a front that looks exactly like the ACS one but costs way more. It only says that the hood and scoops are made by ACS in the description.

ALPINE ELECTRONICS DEBUTS CHEVY CAMARO DEMO CAR

Back January 6, 2011
Car Showcases New Dash Kit Designed for Factory Look of Aftermarket System

TORRANCE, Calif., Jan. 6, 2011 – Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. today debuted its new demo car, a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS. The Camaro’s customized interior and exterior create an impressive package that excites, whether one sits inside its cabin or watches from the sidelines.

Alpine Entertainment and Information System
The Camaro has a complete Alpine set-up, anchored by the INA-W910 audio/video/navigation (AVN) system. The INA-W910 is an AM/FM/CD/DVD receiver with a 7-inch WVGA motorized display. It comes with built-in HD Radio® and Bluetooth® wireless technology. SiriusXM Satellite Radio service is connected to the system via the SXV100 vehicle tuner. Pandora® internet radio is also available, via the Pandora app on an iPhone®.
The INA-W910 is housed in the new Perfect FIT (Factory Integration Technology) KTX-CMO in-dash kit for the Camaro. This kit, designed specifically for the Camaro (2010 and newer), attractively houses the INA-W910 in the dash while keeping the other factory controls intact. A color touchscreen built into the dash kit controls the heating, vent, and air conditioning (HVAC) controls on the car. The KTX-CMO comes with a specific wire harness to connect the INA-W910 to the car, an antenna adapter, and a General Motors LAN BUS adapter.

The Camaro’s audio system totals 3,200 watts. New X-Power digital amplifiers provide the muscle for the system. Two MRX-M100 amplifiers run the four SWR-T12 12-inch Type-R thin subwoofers. Custom 3-way speaker systems showcase the new Alpine subwoofers and speakers. One SWR-843D subwoofer and one SPR-50C 5.25-inch component 2-way speaker are used on both the driver and passenger sides of the car. The SWR-843D subwoofer is installed in each kick panel, the tweeters from the SPR-50C are installed in each A-pillar, and the 5.25-inch mids are installed in each door. Each SWR-843D/SPR-50C combination is run by one MRX-V60 4-channel + mono amplifier. An Alpine PXA-H800 IMPRINT audio processor is used to fine-tune the audio system. The corresponding RUX-C800 controller is used with the PXA-H800 for system tuning right from the Camaro’s dash.
Navigation is supplied by the INA-W910, featuring built-in maps of the U.S. and Canada, with over six million Points of Interest (POIs). Lifetime traffic service supplied by NAVTEQ RDS is included. Further adding to the Camaro’s driving experience is the HCE-C300R Active View Rear Camera System. This add-on camera system identifies objects that pose a potential danger when the vehicle is backing up. Red bars form brackets around the object as visual indicators displayed on the INA-W910’s screen. When an object is detected, an audible beeping alert also activates. The HCE-C300R provides four viewing options: Panorama, Rear, Ground (shows how close objects are to the rear of the vehicle), and Corner (shows the car’s rear corners car in a split screen view).

Performance and Exterior Modifications
The Camaro doesn’t disappoint on the performance side either. A Turbonetics C.A.R.B. Legal 76 mm T-Series turbo with six lbs. of boost takes the stock 6.2L LS3 motor up to 560 Hp/537 ft lb TQ at the rear wheels. A Pedders Extreme Xa coilover suspension kit, HRE 22-inch Monoblok P40 wheels and Toyo Proxes tires are up to the challenge of the Camaro’s motor. An upgraded StopTech 15-inch brake kit provides the power to stop this monster. The MagnaFlow cat-back exhaust ensures the audio system is not the only roar in the Camaro. Engine vitals can be monitored right from the dash thanks to the Zeitronix data logging system.

Rounding out the exterior modification are a custom ACS composite hood and front bumper, Fesler Series 2 body kit, custom MV Designz paint job, and interior/exterior logos and panels from Defender Worx. Protecting the Camaro is a DEI 5902 security system and Smart Start remote start system.

It looks like we both took designs from the ZR-1 corvette. We are a couple hundered dollars more than the ACS but I'm not sure what the ACS is made from. There are subtle differences between the two. The side skirts can also be purchased seperately.

Who ever drove the car on Friday in Torrance you dropped something on Van Ness infront of American Honda Corp Made a popping noise and some rear sensor dragged along the ground......A few enthusiasts honked outside Status Auto but you kept driving.
