Yeah, he mentioned that he already has the LEDs as well, we can make this happen.

done! We should get anyone together and we can have a mod day. Sure we have enough people around here or willing to drive here to get some things done....or just to hang out and help and maybe learn some things ya know

Thanks for doing a write up on this. I plan to switch mine out in red along with adding the light to the dash at the same time. Its nice to have this to refer back to!

Very welcome. I just snapped a few pics, wasn't a great write up IMO but I think it's good enough to help someone too afraid to try and get them through it.

I'll get back to you on this... shortly. Do you know the viewing angle on them? I personally wouldn't use any above 60 degree... preferably 15-30.

Ofer recommended this: 2.0-2.6 Volts and 8000-12000mcd and there intensity
angle is 10-13°

Below links are for RED... you can use the above stats to search other colors as well.

These aren't bad, slightly higher viewing angle.
https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/through-hole/5mm-red-led-30-degree-viewing-angle-8000-mcd/281/1208/

Best choice from that website:

Nothing wrong.
Photobucket is holding forums hostage telling anyone that used their site to host pictures that they must pay 400 bucks a year to continue using them. Almost all links will soon have no pictures on any forum.

Hi everyone! I know this is an old thread, but this is exactly what I want to do next. I can't see any of the pictures in this thread. Hey, I'm an old guy in the digital age, but instead of the pics it says that I need to :update my account to view third party hosting. Can someone steer me in the right direction on how to do this?
This is the only thread I've found on how to do this anywhere! I absolutely detest the greenish blue lights in the door panel and want to opt for red. I've already installed red ambient lighting, added red LEDs in the cup holder, and a nice bright white one in the console. I hope someone may see this and help this old man out! I REALLY want to do this. Thanks!!!

Sorry it took so long to respond, I haven't been on in quite some time. I can help you out with doing this if you're still interested.
