We now have the Jack Pad for the ZL1 and other gen 5 Camaro, it has a embedded magnet to hold in place while you place the jack or lift.

Any way to mount the plastic part to the car and just need to jack against it or place jack stand under?

Highly recommend these jack pad adapters!! A must have to raise the car up safely.
