Cool radio control question

The roll type control on the steering wheel doesn't work very well. If you try to roll the small wheel to change stations it changes the band. The problem is that you can't roll the small wheel without pushing in. It's hard to change stations without changing bands. I've tried to roll the wheel lightly and sometimes I can, but usually it changes the band. Anyone else notice this?

Its more "push up or down" than roll but I know what you mean - if you don't push up its easy to change the band rather than the track or favorite - you do get used to it though so no worries.

It seems to be in the design. You have to touch it so lightly it's hard to do. One salesman never could do it even once. I can do it about one out of three. Not a big problem but annoying.

No problem here. Some people simply have more trouble with different types of dexterity tasks. For example, I was recently waiting for a woman to finish using a touch-screen gift registry consol. She couldn't understand why it wasn't working for her. But instead os tapping the screen with her finger tips she was mashing the screen with her thumb and palm. Let's just say those parts of her body were....larger than average. It was painful.

My button is very easy to change stations without accidentally changing the pages. It rolls very easily. You have to make a concerted effort to push the button, although that's very easy to do also. I couldn't even make it change pages while rotating the button.

It's not the best possible implementation, I agree. This one could go either way though. User error or some sort of mechanica/electrical defect.

Yea, that button scrolls through your presets. Presets are crossband, so that's why it's changing from am to fm to xm. Try setting all of your presets and you should have no problem. Keep in mind there are 6 pages of favorites with 6 stations each. You can change the amount of pages in the menu feature on the radio.

My button on the wheel works perfectly, but only thing is that sometimes I push the little button directly instead of pushing the button up or down (for changing stations or songs), which causes the output to change sources (XM, FM, AM, iPod, CD).

I fumbled with it at first too. Then I set my presets and got used to it. No problem now.
