Your hood had that big of a gap and you didn't notice it until you installed an Air Intake?

Join the club. Mine was like that too from the factory. Not Roto-Fab's fault!

I know, I know... Looking back I don't know how I missed it. I was ripping my hair out trying to fix it so I'm clueless on how it didn't bother me that badly before.

Nope, sure isn't their fault. I was just under the impression originally that it sat up like that because the air box wasn't seated fully. In my case the airbox was NOT fully seated but that was NOT the cause of the hood sitting unevenly. It was just poorly adjusted from factory.

For me I assumed it was right. Mine even had a small dent on the upper fender that I didn't notice when I test drove it. Dealership fixed it perfectly for free with no questions asked. Woodland motors

Yeah I assumed on a brand new car that things would be "perfect" I guess I won't do that again...

Gap is perfect now. I can't remember for sure, but odds are good it was messed up from factory because other than the rotofab not being fully seated I never messed with the bump stops or the latch or anything until yesterday.

Here is what I did:

The hood latches in the middle and due to that fact it can teter left or right which in turn pushes that side down or up. I unbolted the latch, slid it almost all the way down towards the ground then tightened it back up. Then adjusted the bump stops on the PASSENGER side to push the hood up which in turn pushed the drivers side down. After that is all good, loosen the 2 torx screws beside the latch because those pull the bumper UP which will then make the hood sit too low in the middle. Once you loosen those it will be flush all the way around.

I got my rotofab reinstalled and it still sits flush just like it was always supposed to. I feel like I actually accomplished something today.
I had that same condition and just did this and it worked. Long extension with swivel and 13mm socket so I could loosen it through the grill. Only difference is I pushed it all the way up then down an 1/8". Perfect.

My hood fit fine from the factory but after I took the nose off to install a HX and Rotofab it sat high on the driver side. I took the fender well out and confirmed the Rotofab wasn't causing the problem so I was going to go to my bodywork guy until I saw this. Great tip. Thanks!

I'm glad it helped you. I was almost as happy as the day I got this car when I fixed the hood alignment

I didn't even notice my hood bulged on the passenger side until now. Guess I have a little DIY project for the weekend.
