Magnaflow calls it a muffler I think most refer to a perforated tube in a canister as a muffler, regardless of the internal shape. When I hear H or X pipe, I think of the entire assemble from cats to axleback.

Either way, the point I was trying to make was OP can use that product or similar to reduce volume and drone without changing anything else on the car.

I used it a few years ago. It cut volume by at least 40%.It did have a nice low tone. To quite for my strait piped setup with shorties. Put a Flowmaster Super 10 in its place. Sounded good....then said screw it and went Cor as. I was sick of fooling around with exhaust.
