Got heads and cam tuned.... Bad News..

So I have gpi heads, ss3 cam, long tubes and just got it tuned today. Idles weird and made 451/414 LOOOLLLL cant help but think it's the tune but could something not be installed right and be robbing me 50hp? Or could the dyno really be THAT big of a heart breaker? I noticed a little power increase... after the wheel spin on a 1-2 shift the rpm barely drops (about 6k when wheel catch) when it used to spin quick and rpms would drop to 4500ish. Other than that I'm pretty unimpressed and don't believe it's the gpi products that aren't performing. Thought I would atleast break traction on a 2nd gear roll with worn tires lol

Do you have track times to compare?

But the difference was night and day?

He is feeling barely any power increase.

TC, your top end should be ridiculous now compared to before. Hell, just my long tubes made a huge difference on the top end. Bottom end, depending on the cam specs you could have lost a bit down low.

Don't get me wrong. It feels faster, but top end is better but I feel like it should have more in it is all. I would imagine an 80hp increase would give me severe traction issues if traction was slightly an issue before hand no?

Used to trap 111 with long tubes no cats and mufflers. This is the first time the car has been tuned, I'm almost afraid to go rip it at the track with this tune lol you know when you let the clutch out and don't give the car gas and the car shakes? 1/4 of the tune the car idles it has that feel to it

My tuner tells me the autos with just a decent size cam with no headwork would be around 450 rwhp give or take and 420 to 430 ft lbs torque while doing the ls3 conversion You should be making more power imo

450 is on the high end for that setup for a L99
