A lot of kids are tough until they are confronted, hense why they scattered when I stopped. Getting out with a gun I would just about guanantee at least one of them would have sh*t himself and stopped dead in his tracks. These are kids, once you have one secluded they will give up their friends ' no time if threatened with all the consequences.

I had some kids throw snowballs at my truck from an overpass once. I, and two more cars that got it, stopped under the bridge...got out, went up the side of the bank and appeared on the highway above where they were standing. At first they came towards me trying to act all bad, until they saw that I had a baseball bat in one hand and a pistol holster on my side (there was no gun in it as I had no intention of shooting anyone). One of them recognized the holster and hollered "Oh God...he's got a gun!" Needless to say, they scattered like the little roaches they were. Fortunately, we suffered no damage and got a good laugh out of it. I doubt those juvies did that again.
Several years ago, there was a case where some teen kids (practically adults) threw a large boulder from an overpass and actually killed a lady in the car below. I believe they were caught and charged with 2nd degree homicide. It's dangerous business, but kids don't consider it until they get caught. Sorry you got hit, and suffered the damages, but hopefully you can get it fixed and just have a good story to tell.

People do the stupidest things. We had a recent case where 5 teenagers thought it would be funny to throw pumpkins off of a bridge at cars running by at 70 mph. They were caught a week after this happened:
3 inches lower and it probably would have killed the woman. http://www.kcrg.com/news/local/Five-...132288803.html

That blows! Hope you get it fixed soon and better if you could catch the little bastards.
This reminds me of when i was a little kid and hanging with my older brother and his "bad" friends. We lived in a area that was walled in and on one side of one of the walls was a major highway (US1). Now I did not do this, my brother and his a hole friends. We\They sat on the wall and as cars would come buy they would throw hand fulls of pebbles down on the car\windshield. Besides this being very stupid, they just kept doing it over and over again not thinking that down the road there are a bunch of cars pulling over and inspecting the damage and kept seeing it happen over and over again so next thing I see is a mob of people running up the highway towards us. I was freaked to begin with but I was quicker then the rest of the group and I jumped down the other side and all i saw was each one including my dumbass brother get yanked down and disapear out of site. I ran, ran, ran and ended up hiding behind someones garbage cans for almost an hour. Finally went home to find police and my brother and friends all there etc... Although I did not participate and didn't get in any trouble I learned from a young age not to do stupid things like this. I guess having a troublesome brother helped me learn right from wrong. At the time I knew it was wrong but never really thought that you could injure or kill someone. So the moral to my long story is to watch out when shootin some kid in the back as that could be little ole me running away from my stupid brother! Have to say, I would not shot anyone over this as the reason i do not carry a gun but there would have been hell tom pay if caught them as well! neuf cruz |

These kids are a gang.
One has to jump into traffic almost getting killed while the others throw rocks that can seriously hurt or kill someone. It is truely a sad and terrifying thing. |

Make sure you take a good camera with a zoom so you can get good pics. That way there is doubt because of a grainy cell phone pic.
