My question is how much more than 200lbs less will the SS weigh, and how close to 300lbs less will the V6 weigh?

I don't consider that sort of thing deceptive at all. Why would it be. It is a clear and reasonable way to cut weight, and its not like they decreased to a very small tank. By the way, the gas tank will be smaller by a few gallons.

I've done my fair share of arguing in this thread, but in the end isn't this really the answer? IT IS!!!

How about we just wait another week or two and find out. Then we can either be happy, or be pissed off for a good reason lol.

And people wonder why we don't get new info more often based on pre-production cars.

They will be lighter... LT1 almost 300lbs, SS over 200lbs. we shall see the real numbers soon.

That's like a crackhead saying that was it last rock. He's going to change his mind 20 more times, including the day they release it just to say he told everyone so.

Nope, i don't believe that at all. that may be his guess but that's only because they were lied to about the mustang. I'm thinking GM has been honest with us on the weight decrease.

Even if true that's within 20 lbs or so of a gtpp or gtpp premium. Still going to whoop on that ass regardless. It's more than just 20 hp. It's 50 ft lbs of torque and an 8 speed tranny as well. Not quite a drivers race if you ask me even at equal weights.

A 1ss m6 in 2010 was quoted at both 3849 and 3860 lbs. I seen both figures.

All this work and bragging for a 50 lb weight loss compared to the 2010 car. I just don't think they will miss by that much. If they do what a shame.

I kept track of the 2015 Mustang progress & release just like I have the Camaro. And I don't ever recall Ford saying the S550 was going to weigh less.
