It’s a drug... a true addiction.... trying to keep things here ‘relevant’...

;o)

Yep, pics are not bad at all. There are several sets I though were amazing. Photog did a great job!

Stopped by and looked at your artwork, really adds to you car!

Continuing on my Aux Pump, did the on/off switch:

Lined up nice, fit just in the right place, seat clears (when full forward). Routed the wires to the passengers side and routing out just like the Wideband wires. Grounded right with the ground post on the dash...

Slowly but surely, getting there...

Put everything together except the pump, hoses, relay -- that will be next. Test out the switch -- she works:

Tomorrow night, I'll get the pump and relay in position and verify she will run. Once that is in place, new hoses, fix any clamps, then fill her up with fresh distilled/water wetter!

Continuing on my in-line pump I created a bracket, used rivnuts, and mounted the bracket on the passengers side frame:

Mounted the pump:

Using a factory lower radiator hose, cut to fit:

Did a trial fit to make sure the fans cleared -- they did.

Yea baby!

I'll do the relay tomorrow, update the steam lines (using a y tee) then vacuum fill this thing!

Yep! I used them on my plane and on the wicker bill. They are awesome and look good too ;o)

I’m going to move the controller for the pump so I have more room and reduce the chance a belt may wack it...

Finished up the Aux Water Pump today. I moved the control box to the driver's side in order to give more clearance for the pump. I like this much better:

Harness routing:

Updated the steam line routing too:

Vacuum fill:

4 Gallons of Distilled with Water Wetter:

Let it sit for 10 minutes to ensure vacuum held -- it did, then did a fill!

Now, even doing a vacuum fill, you can still get air pockets so, I ran it, then let it sit (elevated) and continued to burp it -- yep, still a small pocket. I'll do that until all the air is out.

Aux pump ran and circulated so now I can pop that on anytime I need it! I'll do a test to see what the effect is on cooling...

Next, the AEM harness needs to be replace -- AEM said unit is good so, looks like I'm replacing the harness (which they provided!). GREAT customer service from AEM...

After my 'jaunt' to LA for 3 days, I finally had time to do a video to show the pump in action.

This video starts with the pump on (I had to be really quick as water was coming out of the top) and then the pump off:

As you can see, there is a 'speed' difference for sure (Hey Robert, this video is ok, right ;o) -- JK

Anyway, I did a test after warming the car up. In the garage, AC on, hood shut, the temps (100° ambient in the garage), the car settled @ 208°. I then turned my pump on, and in less than 10 seconds, temps went to 203° -- then hovered @ 204°.

So, a 4° to 5° drop -- at idle, ac on, hood shut, no air but the fans (since the AC is on). I'd say that is pretty good! I expected a couple of degrees so, 4 to 5 is just fine with me.

So, I have this 4000 CFM fan for those times I'm in a pinch - I can fire that thing up and run the pumps (Intercooler AND Water pumps)!

Pretty happy with that!

My ETC scalar area needed to be reset to 7300 from the max value (8192). Was getting consistent P3411 codes so went back to the ‘math’ calc and that solved it. May go back to Dave’s setting of 6800 but wanted to experiment a bit. Will be doing the Wideband harness this weekend so I can have my gauge up and running...

Finally installed the replacement wire harness for the AEM wideband. I did do a powerup test and it worked -- strange how I could 'test' for power but, the wideband did not run on the old one. Anyway, its working now. I did have a 'PITA' putting the nuts back on the hold down. I decided to use a spark plug tool and it worked perfectly:

This gave me the length and grip I needed to put these back on.

Now that I have that finished, I'll need to clean the ac pulley as there is a small 'screech' when I start the AC -- I'm sure there is some residue on the pulley as I can feel the water wetter on the ac pulley (some hot water and maybe some brake kleen and that should do it).

Gonna clean her up and drive it a bit before I start on the meth setup.

Took her out today and the test was a success! Will need to take a longer drive but, anytime I do a mod, I take a local drive just in case.

Wideband is working again so, now need to hit a few bumps to make sure ;o)

Scoping out the meth kit now to see what I have to do and where to mount the controller...

Fun times ahead!
