The wait is almost over, got the best price and service on the manual ZL1 kit a few more days and I will get the swap done. Shout out to Hendrick Chevrolet for getting this done quick

either way these are stout units...can't wait to install and not worry about the drivetrain anymore for the most part

The diff's not bad, can't say anything good about the stock 2pc driveshaft or the stock axles......Just so you guys know we have a kit that uses the zl1 diff and our axles and high performance 1 PC drive shaft for close to the same price.

Should be fine with the stock ZL1 axles as long as the car is not lowered...wheel hop is what will destroy those things

Your EXACTLY right, lowering a car tremendously lowers its power holding. That's why we finally released our new diff bushings that raise the diff, effectively un lowering your car if you will. Our new diff bushing are a must IMO for any 5th gen weather it has aftermarket axles or especially stock.

And if we already have the Dss axles and 1pc DS. Can they be altered to fit the zl1 diff?

I assume the axles are easy. just need different stubs. The 1pc would probably have to go back to Frank

Well the axles could but it would cost more than selling what you have and buying new.The only thing used would be the CV and the outer.I'll be glad to help you make the switch just give me a call....also know where a few low mile zl1 diff's are for $1200
