I keep failing my E test.

2010 SS, CAI intake, Borla Shorty headers, Solo free flow cats, muffler delete. The car is failing on EVAP and O2 readings.

Any suggestions?

How many times have you failed? I had my SS down for the winter when I hooked the battery up I took it the next day for a test and it wasn't ready. All the monitors were not ready, so I drove it for a couple more days failed again! Now they had to do a two speed idle test, which means put the sniffer in the tailpipe instead of obd11. With my stroker motor I knew I would fail again which I did. I ended up getting my buddy Eric who makes the green cats for kooks to put two brand new ones on and bam it passed! What I'm getting at is you do not want to do a two speed idle test with a modded car it can be a big headache.

If you are getting Not Ready errors you need to drive the Camaro more.
All the sensors reset if you disconnect the battery, even for a few minutes.

I took mine on the highway for ~40 minutes and that took care of that.

You are right there, but sometimes it can take more than just one 40min drive. But that's exactly what I was thinking the monitors are not ready.

No tune, battery was disconnected over the winter. I've only driven it about 60 KMs so far. Failed twice.

I did some hours around home and the Evap became ready but the O2s needed the highway run.

Did it say you have to do a two speed idle test? Sounds like all the monitors are not ready. Do you or a friend have a scanner to tell if the monitors are ready? Google engine monitors not ready and it will show you how to cycle your car properly.

The problem now is when you fail twice they will do a 2 speed idle test (sniffer in the tail pipe and revved up) It happened to me about a year ago. It cost me two brand new cats to pass.

I was told you don't need a tune for shorty headers.

I have never done a real E test, service adviser plugs a machine into the ODB.

Did he tell you it failed, or that it wasnt ready? Anyone with OBD2 dongle and app can find that out too.
60km sounds like it may not have been run through enough, it can take days or a prescribed cycle.

Service adviser hooked up an ODB reader and it showed 2 red X's, I've never actually done the test. I'm planning a full day of driving tomorrow and taking it back in on Monday.
