I had gone to see how much the dealership I purchased from would give me and they had said $23,500. I was like hell no, give me my keys. I got lots of offers using autotrader.com but some people were low balling. In the end my car sold within 5 weeks of listing it on autotrader.com. I had many showings and lots of interest. I highly recommend using autotrader.com to sell your car.

I just bought my brand new 2010 2ss/Rs 2 weeks ago for 32K. I don't have the sunroof or the upgraded wheels but I would say 34,900 is an overshot. My guess is probably around 29 - 30k but just depends if you find the right buyer.

thanks a lot! ... never heard of kbb.com

it seems like I should be able to get about $33k for it after having a body shop do some touch up work from minor dings and scratches

but the real question is.... what would an estimated price for this be in 1 year from now?!?

you can't really give an estimate. first you'd have to stop driving your car to keep it in same condition and mileage. nevermind you never know what the market will be like, what if gas was 6 bucks a gallon? too many what ifs to entertain an estimate a year away.

very true... If I sell my car now for ~$33 ... I can probably afford the ZL1 (in full) by next year if I save up and drive a shitbox for the next year with way better fuel economy.... if I dont sell it now and wait, the value could EASILY go down by $5k ... if not more depending on the economy... in that case I wouldnt be able to afford the ZL1 in full ... id have to finance...

so idk what to do

I really doubt that you'll find a buyer willing to pay over $30K, but you can always put it on the market and see what kind of offers you get. Set a minimum and if you don't get it, just keep the car a bit longer.

Don't know about Florida, but dealer lots here are overflowing with Camaros... You can drive away a nice new 2011 2SS/RS for mid-30's, so used prices are suffering...

I like the idiots who have no mods on their car and are trying to sell 2SS/RS 2010's for more then the price of a brand new 2011 2SS/RS. Seems like I come across them every now and then on craigslist. I'm sorry I will never pay over MSRP for a vehicle.. especially a USED one.

well I have the 2SS with $5k 21'' rims, $500 sun roof, $1200 RS package and $1200 auto transmission ... I should definitely be able to get over $30k... most of hte 2010s on auto trader and kbb.com are going for $30+ without these added things

Back in december I got my 2ss/Rs m6 with 1300 miles off the GMAC auction (nice to have friends) for $28k. My buddy was looking the other day and said the prices have increased quite a bit in the last few weeks and no way I'd have been able to touch that car for 28 now.

I would think 30 best case overall. You migth see 28 in a trade and maybe 33-34 in pvt sale. But even if your loaded out somebody can get a new or left over 2ss for less than 34. I would a year or two from now you would probably subtract 1-2 grand from these numbers
