Here in PR, there are not too many 5th gens. I see maybe 1 or 2 a week on the road. Chevy dealers have from none to 2. Everyday, I see lots of 2011 mustangs and nobody cares about them. There's also lots of them at the dealers. What's up with that? Everybody turns heads when a Camaro is near them.
I'm still about 2 months from having mine and the wait is PAINFUL.

I have had my car a month and I have already had this happen twice. Once was a guy in a BMW 3 series convertible asking me how much I paid for it since everywhere he had looked was 5K over MSRP - I told him I got it used and he said cool - then he said awesome car

The other time I was in very, very slow traffic on the interstate and noticed a white Camry that was kinda sticking close to us. I looked over as we came to one of the many stops, and he said "I love your car man! I been wanting one ever since they came out! Awesome car!" He pulled a away and my permagrin just grew.

True- IMO if it's not a new Camaro it's just transportation.
After 2 years I still get comments and stares when I'm on the road.
Of course my GM chrome wheels and new J-pipe exhaust may have something to do with it.

Almost every time I'm at a gas station filling up my toy, people come over and admire my SS. It sure is a great feeling.

I get the same thing and they always ask how do you like your car? And of course I tell them I just love it as much as the day I bought her.

The excitement in my area has died down over the past few months as sales in the area seem to be doing well. Was actually starting to have withdrawal symptoms from not being pounced on every time I was out in the car. Had a guy come up to me in a parking lot the other day say; "I've seen a lot of Camaros around town lately but yours by far is the best looking I've seen yet." Boy, did he know what I needed to hear or what?

Thanks for sharing your stories

I can't believe the attention our Camaros still get, and I will never get tired of it!!!

I love talking about my car to anyone that has any questions

I'm sure I've sold a few since getting mine back in 2009!!!...GM, are you listening?...I feel like the Camaro ambassador!!!

Keep the stories coming, please!!!

I picked up my car august 09 and I get just as many people stopping me or asking questions now as I did almost 2 years ago. Its a great car and it does make you feel good when someone almost runs you down to say nice car. I had a beautiful mustang pull up to me and give me thumbs up as well. I did tint the windows after the first year because the people who stare at stop lights were driving me a little nuts. They sometimes look at you rather than the car and give you that "who do you think you are" look.
