Same here. 160gb ipod plugged into the USB port. No problems.

I have a 120gb usb stick in my 2014 and it will only index 10K of the songs. The rest I can see but when I try to play them it just skips to the next track. Not an issue really because I still have 10k other tracks to choose from. :-) It is a lot, but I essentially have my entire cd collection at all times, so if some weird mood strikes me in traffic then the music is there.

I have noticed that once the usb stick is indexed the first time then it remembers it and doesn't have to index again unless I change something. My iPhone 6 indexes every time I plug it in and seems to take forever each time. Very annoying, so I tend to stream Bluetooth when I want to listen to Tidal or Pandora or whatever.

I have a 2TB External Hard drive hooked to mine. Never run out of the music I like. I have over 2000 CD's put on there. I love having a HUGE choice!

You got an external hard drive to work?? Does it index the songs?
I definitely did not have success getting it to read the device when I tried

I have using a 16gb usb drive for 5 years and its almost full. Its been pissing me off for years and takes 2 minutes to index. I want to use a 32 gb buT I need to get an aftermarket unit since the Mylink doesn't play that many songs. I just put more music on another usb and have been switching between the to til I get another unit.

sberk102: I just downloaded all my songs to my external drive from my desktop to the external hard drive, plugged it in to the USB and I was good to go. Yes it does index. I have had it in the car for 6 months now, with no problems.
