Best Nitto Street Tire
I'm getting a plan in place for upgrading my tires to some Nittos when I finally burn all the rubber off the rear and I thought I'd do a poll to get some opinions. My Camaro is my daily driver, but I have a lead right foot and go to the drag strip 2 or 3 times per year. I like my 45th wheels so I'm probably going to widen the rears enough to get a 305 or 315 on it and stick 255s in the front (unless keeping them 245 is better for the street? ). The tires need to be able to handle rain, moderately cold temperatures, have decent tread life, and have better traction than the stock P Zeros.
Thanks!!!

...I am in the exact same situation as you. I will probably go to 19-20inch forgestars or something similar.. but I want a tire that can handle the one or two trips to the strip every year.
I was leaning towards the 555, but I am thinking that may not handle wet roads as well as the Invo.

I'm leaning towards the Invo as the best all-around tire, but I just hate the look of an asymmetric tread design. Doesn't look like a big, wide, badass tire from the rear. Just goofy...
EDIT: Looked at the Invo from other angles/lighting conditions and it's starting to grow on me. Not to mention I'll choose function over form any day.

For anyone recommending the NT05, compared to the P-Zero, how do they hold up in the rain/cold and how many miles do you get out of them without burnouts/track time?

Fronts on the invos in stock size (245s) dont meet the load rating that GM spec'd for our cars...
makes me slightly apprehensive |

I like the Invo's for street, but the NT-05's for the track...

Ive had my Invo's for about 8k miles and have zero complaints. they hook well, look amazing and have great treadwear characteristics. Even have 2 trackdays under them and they still look new. I doubt you will be disappointed.

I have NT-05's and am very happy with them. Driven in the rain, no issues at all. Granted, I don't drive like an idiot when it's wet out, but they grip better than the stock "P" tires. I have Invo's on the vette and like'em, but the two cars are like apples/oranges, so a direct comparison isn't possible.

Just got a set of Invos but not mounted yet. Still waiting for my F14's to arrive! I did A LOT of research before choosing Invos! Price, performance, and fitment were my main criteria. I had it narrowed between Invos and Vredesteins mainly due to size, 275x20 front and 315x20 rears. Chose Invos because of tried and true reviews, good dry and wet performance, quiet, and better treadwear rating than the P-zeros!
