What exactly would I need to swap a V8 into a V6?
I have a wrecked V8 for free, everything seems in good condition aside from the unibody and a few other things.
What all do I need to swap from the V8 into the V6 to make this work? I'm looking for serious replies here. I would rather build this than go trade in a car that's already paid off to get myself in more debt. So what components do I need to swap? Can anyone help with guidance, please? |

Talk to austinwihtrow On the forum here. Heres his post. Hes doing the same thing. Besides a lot of work and money, I dont see the issue since you have most of the parts available.

I'm a diesel mechanic, not much experience on cars but I'm sure I can figure it out.

Honestly man i would advise not doing this. Sell your car get what ever you can for that motor and get a SS. Its not as simple as swapping out the motor there are other things to consider like suspension, drivetrain, transmission, electronics, exhaust etc. 2010 SS can be had for great value these days.

Have you ever thought about getting a first gen Camaro shell and do a resto mod?
I have seen this done on Overhaulin and thought it was awesome, although I think it was a Firebird. |

I just watched gas monkey garage. They had a new 392 challenger....took the motor out of it and were attempting to put in 1970 challenger shaker. It was a nightmare from the beginning.
