Kbb cash offer

I filled out information for a cash offer from Kelly blue book online and got an offer of $16990 cash.
I included all my performance mods and aftermarket wheels. Car is a 2013 2ss RS. I was wondering if the offer would be higher if the car was stock.

My first guess is they got to make a profit on the resell so they are not going to give top dollar.

Seems more like a trade in value to me. I'd never sell it for that.

When I talked to a dealer for kbb he said the instant offer they give you has a little room in there to turn around and sell to a dealer for profit.

That's about what I have on my '13 2SS/RS (31k). What mods? Tune? If so did the dealer ask or check for a tune?

You never get any extra value with aftermarket mods, but that price is pretty low for a '13 2SS. I've seen average retail prices about $10k higher on Carmax. So, I guess dealers are making $10k profit on the lot.

Typically, dealerships aren't real excited about modded sports cars. Not many people want to buy these from a dealer because there are so many risk factors involved. Mods will hurt trade in value most of the time, at least the performance mods will.
