I can't wait for the hate, lol.
Thanks to Enator for another great set of graphs, to Mike Judge and the rest of you wonderful people building dream cars, and thanks to all you in CAMAROs for continuing on making it such a popular car. I agree a lot has to do with the personality brought out by the styling. No other car looks like CAMARO

So there have been 224,000 Camaro deliveries since April 09? Impressive.

In our neck of the woods you see as many new Challengers as you do Camaros. Way to go Challenger! Looking forward to the month it outsells the Mustang.

While getting gas one time, I complemented this guy on his Mustang. Told him I just got a Camaro SS. He says to me, "yeah, there's too many Camaros out there, I wanted something that stood out." After mulling that comment over, I realized he wanted a car that fewer people thought was desirable over the Camaro.

It's kind of like the calm before the storm. GM has the ZL1 coming, but FoMoCo has the updated Mustang right around the corner.
Ford might be hurting in Mustang sales now, but it's going to be all-out war come spring...

I wouldn't be expecting him to be coming back any time soon
The Camaro is running on just one shift, not three. They have 2 assembly lines in Oshawa and between them, they build the Chevy Camaro and Impala, plus the Buick Regal. On top of that they do partial assembly of some Equinoxes (Equini?) and Terrains. And they're probably doing pre-production of the Cadillac XTS right now. And I'm not even sure if all those combined work out to 3 full shifts on each line.

I think it would be safer to wait and see what happens when the few changes to the Mustang line (and the 650BHP GT500) are here. I remember seeing a rendering which combined Aston Martin and that new Ford concept car front end on it. Visually the Mustang just doesn't have much going for it, it doesn't look bad but at the same time it doesn't really stand out either. The next generation Mustang will have a chance to set that right and with the engines they currently have it should be a great vehicle. |

Love this version of the muscle car wars
Was too young to drive during the battles of the late sixties and was sad to see the decline of performance when I got my license in the late 70's. Never thought the high horsepower, American Muscle days would be back like this! Had and sold a 2009 SRT8 Challenger. Nice car but just didn't thump enough. Sold my 2010 2SS/RS to fund a ZL1. Have to wait 'til 2013 model year, no allocation at my local dealers. Have a sizable deposit on a '13, just need to decide coupe or vert. New Mustangs will drive the Ford loyal back to the showroom. I'm ZL1 all the way. In the meantime I'll enjoy winter in my Raptor and dream of a summer delivery. Great times, great times!!!
