Aftermarket Navigation

Does anybody know of an In-dash Navigation unit that can also display engine data like intake temps, oil temps, etc, etc?

Not necessarily for the Camaro, I'm just kinda curious if anybody makes something like this.

Thanks!

That would take alot of installing and I would doubt it but don't take my word.

Yeah, it's made by nissan for the GT-R.

On a serious note, I have no idea, but I don't think anyone makes this aside from actual car manufacturers because of all the hookups. Maybe a SAFC controller from HKS might have features like that, but not nav.

I spent some time searching and didn't find anything. Not a big need for it considering the hassles of instalation.

Yeah, I just figured because there was an option for the Cobalt that displayed such things, and it's not terribly hard to find those readings with an external scanner...there had to be....something. hmm...

It would be a combination of CAN which talks to ODBII and a GPS device reporting to the same controller.

You can just buy a MSD Dashhawk and a MIO KITT GPS.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a standardized connection and interface allowing such aftermarket pieces to be easily added in the near future.

You would almost have to build a car PC to have that functionality (and much more).

Defi has a multifunction meter setup with a screen. Measures oil temp, water temp, fuel pressure, exhaust temperate, etc. Looks like it could complement the interior well. No navigation though.

how bout using a laptop, and the uhh............., shit !!!

your going to kick my ass, because I can't remember the software ...

give me a min, You usually have a laptop mount in your car and a wire that connects to your ECM, and while you are driving ( in any condition) you would get real time data instantly
