Boost a Pump Question

Those who are boosted and running a BAP (MSD 2351 specifically for my instance). What voltage did you set the BAP to in the software? Tuner I originally started tuning with when Supercharger was installed told me to set up the BAP as the image shown. Ultimately went with a different tuner as wasnt happy with how tune went and that tuner got the vehicle running flawlessly, my only concern is the BAP voltage running at 22V at 140 kPA seems extremely high, and last thing I wanna do is burn out the pump super quick for no reason as I never did change the voltage value.

This is the values I was told to set it at, does this seem correct? Or should I adjust be adjusting it?

2015 Camaro SS 1LE with Heartbeat supercharger. Car has the ZL1 Fuel pump from factory and my tuner flashed the ZL1 FPCM cals on, would I even need a BAP at all? I assume its added insurance really.

My BAP did not come with software, but I can tell you anything over 18.5v made the car throw a CEL.

I have a JMS voltage booster on my twin turbo set-up, I have a 2014 1LE as well. JMS has it preset at 18.5V. I know it is not the unit you are asking about but the main issue is voltage to the pump and that seems to be the sweet spot as to not over work the pump to much. I have 6000 miles on the set up without issue.

Thanks for the replies guys, thats what I thought as well. To be honest, I heard horror stories on the MSD 2351 failing so may just swap it out for the JMS BAP and run it off of the accelerator pedal.

I don't believe changing the BAP out to the JMS would require any type of retune being trigger changes from boost pressure from SC(via vac line) to pedal actuation, correct?

@HOJO, mind sharing where you got your JMS from?

I ordered mine straight from JMS. You are right, you will not need a retune. Fuel rail pressure is already set and the internal regulator should control everything else based off the current tune....I'm no tuner though...just thinking this through. Someone with a little more knowledge can verify this for us I am sure. The accelerator pedal switch works great by the way. I know I said I installed this 6000 miles ago, that also equates to 6 years with the mileage I put on the car. I have never had an issue, it is a good unit.

We have had plenty of problems with the MSD over the years sometimes they just need to be unplugged then plugged back in to reset them on a no start.

We have had nearly zero problems with JMS and love the throttle activation.

For settings we go 14.5 ramp to 17.4 for either MSD or JMS.

We have specific instructions for the JMS with pictures and set up details.

Thanks for the information Ted,

Could I just change the voltage value to 17.4V without having any issues? And do you happen to have an ideal voltage ramp up at specific MAP pressures?

We have seen multiple issues where the FSCM freaks out when voltage are set higher than 17.4
