Better Injectors
Hello, this is my first post so nice to meet you all. I've been putting together some mods I'd like to do to my 2011 V6, and while I have been able to find most things, I'm stumped at finding either new, better injectors or a place that can upgrade my stock ones. Does anyone have any recommendations? And don't say buy or swap a v8.

Any particular reason you're changing the injectors?

I believe the LLT factory injectors are good for 8 - 10 lbs at which point the factory high pressure fuel pump is maxed out, and don't believe there is any known replacement that works with the factory ECU. Not sure how many boosted LLT owners still frequent this board; Tracy Lewis may be able to help too (https://tracylewisperformance.com/co...charger-system)

Fuel delivery issues on the LLT with A LOT OF boost can be a PITA. I would upgrade to a ZL1 fuel pump to make sure you’re delivering as much fuel as possible from the low pressure side of the system. I have the overkill system and the ZL1 pump did help with the high rpm fuel starvation issues.
Lots of posts here about upgrading injectors, plugs, and coils but nobody ever seemed to find an option that improved over factory. The high pressure fuel side is where you’ll ultimately hit hurdles if you boost but if you keep the boost conservative everything plays nicely together. One word of wisdom if you do decide to boost your ride: it can be very difficult to find a tuner who knows the LLTs. Everyone knows how to tune the 5th Gen v8s, very few know how to properly tune the LLTs. I live in the 5th largest US city and there was exactly one person who had the knowledge to do it properly. |

All right. Thanks for the knowledge. Glad to see people out here not just saying "get a v8". Also, what abouts is a fair price for a zl1 pump? another also. There is a tuner nearby that works very close with a shop on GM and said he'd be willing to give it a shot, but I dont know his experience with V6's

The ZL1 pump is currently about $250 on Summit. Much higher other places. You will have to tweak the FPCM to take advantage of the additional flow this pump offers. Good luck!
