One NPP muffler sounds different than the other?

Ok so I might be over thinking / over reacting but after blocking off my one QTP cutout that failed open and leaving the other one closed I noticed the driver side muffler has reduced flow at idle all the time. It also sounds different than the other side, like it almost thumps. The passenger side sounds fine.

1. I left the broken cutout in place for months, maybe 350 - 500 miles. The other side was closed. Not sure if that caused any harm but the cutouts are after the X in the X pipe so I figured it was ok

2. I have LT headers, no cats, X pipe, stock NPP mufflers open all the time

3. The car seems to run fine, no misfires, no bucking, no stuttering.

Is this normal?

Did I damage something?

Can a NPP muffler fail internally or become clogged with carbon?

What did you use to block it off?

Made a block off plate out of some aluminum from home depot. It's sealed pretty good, I don't hear any leaks

This may be a long shot but it's the only thing that's making sense right now.

I went to replace the motor for the cutout that was open and noticed the entire butterfly assembly was missing. I figured it fell out on the road somewhere. I wonder if it worked its way into the muffler? Its the right side for it to happen and it's after the X

I doubt that could happen due to all the bends in the pipe going back to the mufflers, plus if I remember on my QTP's, they are 3 inch if you have the low profile ones like I have, that blade just physically wouldn't be able to travel all that way, plus the QTP's are far enough away from the tubing where it would have fallen on the road somewhere. But in this world, stranger things have happened!

I'll see if the exhaust shop in town can drop the X pipe and see if anything is caught in there. I'm going to see how much to weld in V band clamps, ditch the gutted cat tubes, and tighten things up.

Summit just delivered everything I need to rebuild both sides and run new wires with the original QTP connectors. We'll see what this week brings if I can carve out an afternoon to get to the exhaust shop
