It’s been a while, some questions regarding radio and cameras

Hey guys it has probably been years since I have been active here. Still have my car after all these years.

I installed the PAC kit years ago with a pioneer AVH-W4400NEX and it has worked for what I need. I do think that there isn’t enough ventilation behind the fan and on a long drive I think the head unit overheats. I wish I got a mechless unit at the time.

I have been seeing some of these whole radio replacement kits that are based on Android OS and they look really nice. One of my biggest gripes is the fit of the PAC faceplate. Never seemed to fit 100% perfect.

Is anyone running one of these units? I saw one was $1200! Not looking to spend that kind of $ to be honest but it looks really nice. I always wonder what kind of quirks or issues that do not work 100%.

Also has anyone replaced their backup camera? I installed the kit to split the video signal to the head unit as well as in the mirror but it lost the lines and the resolution looks horrendous. I’m interested to see if there is a replacement camera on the market that would be plug and play at the rear?

Thanks in advance!!

Don't do it, I have one for the last Month, and nothing but troubles.
Volumn for the Pandora is different than the Radio
Volumn for Waze is almost offf when radio is on
will not connect with wifi for 60 seconds or more
Looks good but Horrible interface
Only two Channels RCA

Ah man I’m sorry to hear that!!! I personally have a hard time buying a no name brand radio, especially when they are so expensive. Can you return it?

Yeah the combo looks fantastic. I would love to upgrade both but not looking to spend what it costs. I wish there was an updated faceplate for the PAC kit to make it fit better, that would be ideal.
