Whoah! What a machine! And I got more words to look up again.

haha, yeah, they were both fun cars back in the day when I had them! The Camaro, not so much because it had manual steering and brakes, was tough for me to "man handle" around when going slow in parking lots and such. .. And yeah, automotive education is a good thing to know!! I don't know a lot, but I do know enough to be dangerous, and helpful!! lol.

Finally after almost 6 weeks, I have received my CNC heads.

Now to figure out when to get these and the cam finally in.

It was 2.5 K for the work Katech did and the PSI max life dual springs, about 500 for the Ferrea valves, and the heads I sourced for about 900.

Supposedly these and the Track Day LS3 cam combined will rate close to 500WHP if everything else was to be stock, however I do have the TB, GPI rod mod, short ram intake, DOD delete, Borla ZL1 Catback, and Kooks LTHs.

Regardless running a 6L80E so factoring drive train loss, I might actually make that figure if not a tad more, counting if I can find a competent local tuner.

An extra 100 ponies over what I am doing sounds like nothing but a good time! Hope to join you there over next few years. Share your dyno test, if you put her on there soon.

You should be within the ballpark on that setup. Good luck!

Appreciate it, biggest thing is getting the aforementioned and the new differential installed. 6L80 on a TrueTrac and 3.45 gears is certainly going to be an interesting experience I eagerly anticipate.

Another, if, and when you do a aftermarket stall converter, depending on your cam specs, you will be greatly impressed with that mod! I went from a 3200 to a 4500, wow, what a awesome performance difference.

I'm currently sitting on a Circle D 3600 258mm I commissioned back in February. Just waiting to pick up a new transmission pan and cooler before that also gets slapped on.

The team at CD was amazing to work with and respected my concerns with great detail while appreciating the seriousness of the fact I was about to drop 2K on their product. They got me to a selection where I could reliably daily the car while still taking on the road courses. Originally was going to get a 3200 stall speed, but they took care of me.

Agreed! They were great with me as well when I was about to purchase mine. They listened to what I was looking for in my endeavors with my Camaro build, and what I was looking to get out of her. Chris, the owner I believe was the person that took care of me, and saved me some money on my choice of converter. 3600 will be great for your build. One of my friends did the 3600 in his Camaro, and loved it. I went with the 4500 because with my LOD manifold the power band is pretty high, and I needed one to get me above 4k rpm on the hit, mine flashes at 6500...

My Camaro was in more dire need of a clay bar than any black car in history.

So it got one!

...and an iron treatment and ceramic coat... which now I learned may give me water spot headaches... live and learn.

Overall happy with results, but learned where need to be a bit more careful with the clay bar.
