Not yet. The car is at a friends shop getting some body work done. Should have it back in January.
The LSX454 is going together at the machine shop. I got a really great deal on some Frankstein LS7 heads. I'm still trying to decide on a transmission, a TR6060 out of a ZL1 or CTSV or a T56 Magnum. The initial cost would be lower on the TR6060 but it would be a used trans. I plan to talk to Vorshlag after the holidays about the suspension. Have a Merry Christmas. Craig

Why a zl1 6060 he MM6 that comes on our cars is from the LS7 good gearing for track? Or are you going way up in HP so need more clutch?

The car I'm building is a A6 car so I am converting to the M6. Just not sure which trans I should go with. Plus I'm estimating the 454 should be making 700hp+.

Progress is slow. I'm waiting to get the car back from the fabricator.

FINALLY got my car back from body work. She's a bit ugly but I can finally get to work on her.
I got my motor back form the machine shop a couple of weeks ago. It is a LS2 resleeved, I had a LSX454 rotating assembly sitting in the shop so I had that installed in the block with some Frankenstein ported LS7 heads, purchased from a member on here for a great deal. Once I get all the odds and ends bolted on the block its back to the machine shop to be broken in on the dyno. Just received my trans, TR6060 MG9, found a great deal on eBay it's a new in the crate trans. I was shocked when I opened the crate and found it came with the flywheel, pressure plate and clutch. Turned a good deal into a REALLY GREAT deal. Now I have to start looking for some headers. Most likely going with ARH LTs. I'm just looking for the best deal I can find. Hopefully next week I will start stripping all the excess stuff from the car. I'll post some more pictures soon. Craig

Getting closer. Have most of the interior stripped out. Fighting with the dash. Looks like the windshield has to come out to finish pulling the HVAC system. Real PITA.
I'm starting to look at suspension parts. Any suggestions on who to talk to about coil overs springs and sway bars? Thanks Craig

Well the car is pretty much completely stripped.
Waiting on some stuff to come in so I can start the reassembly. Couple of items I could use some advise on. What slave cylinder should I use, stock or Tick or something else? I need to get the ecm & bcm reprogrammed to work with the TR6060. Does anyone know of anyone that can do this? Thanks Craig

At the very least, I'd get the Tick insert if using a GM slave. They have the Tilton slave as an upgrade as well.

I'm going with the upgraded stock slave. It seems like the best bet.

Think I'll start calling the car Frankie short for Frankenstein. There are parts of of at lease 9 different cars currently making my car.
Paint shop just gave me a gut shot. They said they would paint the car for $900-$1000, scuff & shoot. Took the car to them and they started moaning and complaining saying the car need lots of body work, saying every panel need to be worked. I kept telling them it was a track car and small dings didn't matter plus I had already removed all the trim and windows. They said each panel would require a days work! So I took the car back home and started to do the work myself. Scuffing took me all of 6 hours, not days. Figure I'll purchase one of those inflatable spray booths and shoot it my self. Pushes back my completion date but I'll save some money.
