thanks all... one more question-
Which V8 muffler is likely to sound better and have less rasp when put on my v6? The LS3 mufflers, which appear to be strait thru type design with some packing or the L99 mufflers which seem to be more of a chambered type with packing? thanks J |

LS3 and L99 have different mufflers, I did not know that, I thought they were the same.

Ther are definitely different having seen them both cut open. The L99 had to accomadate the v8 going in to a v4 mode when cylinders shut down, stick does not have that v8 version.
