AH Yeah...you paid to fix that? I gave mine away with the other head that I sold for $250. Just compare it to the cylinder next to it, then trash it: way too spendy to make it right this is not some old jalopy they obviously went at porting it with a dremel to try to make it right but you can only remove so much... And its should not have material removed it changes the compression ratio Down in that one cylinder as it raises the combustion chambers size..... Sure at a machine shop a Hard up guy comes in and the guy there thinks ok I can help you limp it around for a while if that's what you really want..... But there is not a doubt in hell that is trashed, and he knows,( it anyone knows it). Sell the heads with the new valve, buy the gmpp heads really your only cheaper option and for gods sake tell the next person not to trust that cylinder if they want to use the hammered head. And don't even think of being turbo on that. I know money is not abundant, but $1300 for new heads cnc ported from summit and your GTG.... or at least order one stock head they are interchangeable side to side......... Think about this...Hemi heads , so noted and made for the shape of their combustion chamber they became a common name and many heads form different makers are hemispherical, yours are Potato heads, friggin goofy Mr.Potato head with one eye missing heads if the combustion chambers looked like that..and fit for well.... The Joker mobile...ROFL And the machinist thinks as you walk out the door....Poor Bastard, hope he does not come back, maybe he will give up and devote more money to his crack habit...LOL God I kill myself...LOL

And BO did you loose all your valves bouncing around some time trashing your engine? this is more than .005 this is more like .05...or more, dang valves are extremely destructive to soft aluminum. And to turbo it...OMG.

The head was milled .004 all they did was mill it and put in seats. I just hit it with a dermal for like 10min using a sand cartridge.

I think the infinite surface area where combustion can take place, enhancing the overall burn is Bitchin' man!

I hope this is a joke. Combustion efficiency in that chamber is gonna be a joke.

I think you are asking if the wrong head needs to be checked.

The only way that head could have been salvaged would have been to weld all the damaged areas, install new seats, contour the combustion camber then mill. The welding will anneal the aluminum so the seat could still be vulnerable to failure. The expense would not be worth the effort unless a new one is not available or too costly witch is not the case.

My first reaction was (disgusted expression) Ewwww. That does not look as good as he thinks.... I think they are trying to set you up for repeat "machine" services after those heads are installed.

I wouldn't risk it.

Which shop did that "work"?
