Look at the SOLO PERFORMANCE Exhaust Systems. I have the MACH X for the SS and it is amazing. Huge difference in the power feel and the sound and look are a cut above the rest. The price you cannot beat at $750 shipped to your door!

You will not find a single negative feedback from any SOLO owner.

These Guys (Volant) http://www.volant-intakes.com/ Have an amazing intake. I will post pictures if I get a chance later! I do not have one yet, but I met them and discussed it at SEMA wit the owner.

Solo Mach-X cat back and Roto-Fab CAI, excellent combo. I also have Doug Thorley shorties headers and all together make a great package with NO TUNE needed. If you don't mind risking your warranty then a set of long tube headers like ARH, Kooks, or Dynatech make long tubes which should mate up with the Solo cat backs, but you'll need to have a tune done due to the high flow cats.

Do you happen to have any sound clips of your setup with our exhaust and the shorty headers?

I believe that the best route is: Headers (ARH) w/3" to axle. Airaid CAI, and a good tune. Really turns the power loose. JMO!! Good luck in your research.

I sent a pm to you concerning this, but I would like to post as well. Our system uses a seal to the hood which effectively acts as the lid while maximizing the space around the filter from which to pull air. Our testing as well as others on this forum show without doubt that our intake temps are comparable or lower than most intakes on the market.
During our closed hood testing, our intake always had lower air intake temps than stock. Actually, as we allowed less air to the front of the vehicle our intake became much better in comparison. That's directly related to our open design which isolates from engine/radiator heat while pulling cool air from gaps such as the lower open area in front of the tire. As speed increases, our system is fed by the stock inlet duct which is cool air ahead of the radiator.

The few that have stated ours "sucks hot air" have absolutely no basis for their claim. You will not read such comments from anyone who has tested our system.

The set up we generally recommend is the following if you plan on adding headers down the road. These recommendations are also based on your ultimate performance goal.

If your planning on making 500 RWHP or less I'd go with the Magnaflow 16579 HERE and the Airaid 250-243 Cold Air Intake HERE. The reason I like this combination is because it includes rear mufflers; if you plan on long tubes down the road you'll want mufflers!!

If you're planning on making 500 RWHP+ I'd go with the Magnaflow 3" Comp Series Cat-Back 16483 HERE and the Airaid Cold Air Intake 250-243 HERE. AR Headers offers a header system that will match up to the Magnaflow 3" Comp System which utilizes the Magnaflow Tru-X which is much better than the merged pipe style....

The reason we choose Magnaflow is simple. Magnaflow is straight through just like Borla so from a performance stand point they are similar. The Magnaflow however uses a Stainless Steel internally where Borla uses Fiberglass which burns out over time. Magnaflow and Airaid both have a lifetime warranty and they stand behind there products.

Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions!

Kind regards,
