2015 Convertible Top Not Working

Hello -

Hoping I might get some answers/insights from other convertible owners...

My top will no longer go down, just happened out of nowhere last week; it was working fine until then.

After I unlatch the top, I press the button to lower the roof, but get a message stating "Unlatch Top". Top is unlatched and when I push up on it I can see it is clear from the windshield (completely unlatched).

Any thoughts on what could be causing this issue and cost of repair?

Thanks!

Is the net in the trunk latched properly? Is the sensor working? Two easy things to check first.

Great advise.... whey I purchased my 2014 I was so excited I don't think I listened as everything was being explained. Everything worked fine for a while, then one day I went to put the top down and nothing?

I must have locked and unlocked the top 10 times before I got the book out and read the directions. Opened the trunk and I guess I must have slid the shade back when taking the wife grocery shopping.

Pulled the shad back in place and the top worked. Now before I put the top down I check the trunk.

Should be a display between the gauges with some kind of warning.

@theragtopguy - I'm aware of the cargo net and yes, it is properly secured. Not sure to which sensor you are referring. Please let me know which sensor I need to check.

@Whoomba - I do receive a "warning" message, it says: "Unlatch Top". The top is unlatched and I can push it clear of the windshield on both sides.

I've had the car several years, this is the first I've had with this issue.

There is a sensor on the left side of the net in the trunk I believe. If you jump those wires together and it then works, the sensor is bad.

There’s probably one on that latch too. I will look at mine later to see if I can tell or get pictures.
