15” conversion and 325 50 15 fitment

I haven’t been on here for awhile but I thought this would be beneficial to anyone considering this mod. It all started last year when my wife bought me an lsa supercharger, my car was already heavily modded , cam ,headers , stall. I had Jordan at JDP install supercharger, fuel pump, injectors, solid subframe mounts, tune. Traction on street tires is now nonexistent. So I ordered Bmr drag suspension and Carlyle Racing 15” brake kit. This was pretty straight forward but you do have to cut the hole larger where the shock mounts I went with Carlyle Racing because of price and you keep your E brake. Also did the BMR anti roll bar

In order to get these tire to fit you need to trim your inner fender liner, this is easy trace your tire with your car off the ground , deeply scratch with a razor knife and they will snap off where you cut

Then you will need to grind off part of the brake line brakes on the inner fender well and relocate the brake line . I used a hose clamp from ace hardware

On the passenger side you will need to use a flush mount screw and bend the tab in that holds your fuel tube

You will also need to tie back you E brake line I still am not satisfied with mine yet (zip tie) also where the crush washer is on the caliper the brake line needs to be turned inward

Don’t even bother with stick on weights to balance the rear tires there is almost zero space between the wheel and the lower control arm . It will spin in the air but on the ground it won’t clear

The front wheels are easy just cut off the roller skates. My calipers need paint anyway so I just cut them installed with a sawza

You could try sticking the weights on the spokes, inner side.

I always tell folks not to tell the tire shop not to put the weights on the barrel, they all get knocked off.

Thanks for the details, I completed my conversion this winter and hope to get the front wheels done by fall. I went with the BMR conversion although that does require the parking brake delete....
