Anyone change them out for something a little brighter sounding? Anything out there decent to replace the factory BA ones? And how do you remove it without snapping anything off?

Yep, I coulda swore you could just pop that little triangle off with a trim tool, thought my buddy showed me that trick several years ago

You can... open the door and use a small flat head from the side closest to the door handle to pop it up then the front will come out.

Brighter, you'd also need a lower ohm tweeter.

The door and tweeter are paralleled together. If the door speaker is 2-ohm, and
the tweeter is 2-ohm, then the load is ONE ohm. You would need to find a 1-ohm
tweeter to brighten it up "extremely."

Also, if the door speaker is 4-ohm, and the tweeter is 4-ohm, then the load is TWO
ohms. I know the Boston Acoustic speakers are 2-ohm. The plain factory speakers
are 4-ohm.

Front plain are 20 Watts, the BAs are 50 watts.

If you want brighter all the way around, ditch the 4-ohm setup, and get the Boston
Acoustic speakers. They're a direct drop in, and are cheap on eBay. So, going
from the 20 watt plains, at 4-ohm, putting in the BAs at 2-ohm will almost be
40 watts equivalent output.
