NEW USER AND NEED HELP - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I own a 6 speed 2011, and was wondering if i want to steer clear of turbo what the best options for my car are. Im generally interested in the best of everything I.E (chips, exhaust headers, intake, throttle body.)

Theres a lot to read in the performance section.

What you named is what people commonly do, Cold air intake and exhaust.
A dyno tune seems to be recommended by everyone as well.

Ive seen V8s getting a throttle body, but im sure theres a performance V6 one as well.

Depending on which V6 you have, one of them has exhaust manifolds incorporated into the heads or something which dont allow for headers.

But read around in the mod/performance section theres too much to really just tell you about

I have read on other forums that you cant get headers on the v6, how do i tell which one i have?

Are you asking how do you tell if you have a V6?

below your avatar is shows you have a 2011, right......if so. YES you can get headers, either shorties or Long tubes. its the new 2012s V6's that you won't be able to put headers on.

OH and btw......Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Hahaha thanks everybody, and no i wasnt asking which engine i had im aware that i have the v6. However when i went to total performance racing he had mentioned something about not being able to do headers, obvouisly now i know i can. I appreciate the help guys

You have a 2011, so yes you can get headers. You have the LLT engine so you're fine.
