A question about the v6's power
so i have yet to actually ride in a v6..just the v8...how does it feel power wise? when you push the pedal, will it put you back in the seat, or not so much?

guess push you back in your seat is very subjective... Coming from a very anemic H3, my V6 really seems to push me back...

There are already many threads on this. I'll save you the task of searching. The current V6 is the same one from the Cadillac CTS. It is faster than most of the previous Camaros. It is very quick, yet still gets quite acceptable fuel mileage.
Also, read my sig. |

But a Manual Transmission is going to help the V6.

I have drove both its not quite the throw you back in your seat feeling but there is a very satisfying smoothness in the way that it accelerates through the entire 6900 RPM's it makes you wonder how it's a V6 pulling like it does.

This being my first sports car and I previously drove a 99 montero sport suv. I certainly feel a push back on hard acceleration and couldn't imagine how intense a v8 feels, this is plenty for me.

If you got the V6 with manual trans, you will be plesantly suprised how 1st and 2nd gear get this puppy moving!

ok... i hate to admit it.. and very embarrassed... but maybe it will help...
so yesterday I was at the track... i was trying a few different things... so I thought I would try the tapshift out... well as soon as I launched the car jerked me back... well i had my finger in the + button... and with the jerk backwards I actually pulled back on the steering wheel... and yes, I immediately put the car in 2nd gear! D'oah!!! Who says you can't blow a shift in an automatic! Oh.. I was also impressed.. in M1 on the return road, with TC ON...rolling along.. I was NOT stopped, I could poke the throttle and get the tire to really squawk!! Getting that big 275 20" to squeal like that... well, it impressed me! LOL!

I think this is going to be subjective to what you are use to. I have a feeling the V6 if going to feel like a beast, since I am coming from a 2.0L Stratus.

Check all of my posts on Number 3. It was always a pleasure to drive the V6, but "put you back in your seat"? is too subjective. The SS doesn't put me back in my seat. It takes a Z06 to give me that feeling.
The V6 surprisingly will pull in 4th gear. It will spin the tires all through first gear. It does amazing things. So the only answer here is, you have to drive one and judge for yourself.
