Installed my new cai Intake from CAI

Beautiful day today in Southern Ontario so I took my Camaro out of storage. It fired right up,I installed the cai intake from Cold Air Induction that I had sitting in the basement since January, the hardest part was removing the plastic wrap. The workmanship on the CAI is second to none , You don't notice any change in the sound when you start it up but once you hit the throttle you really hear the roar of the engine and the stock exhaust sounds deeper. I strongly recommend this cai to anybody considering purchasing one.

Congrats on waking it up!

You helped me make up my mind. I'm definitely going to go with this CAI when I get my SS.

Congrats again and enjoy!!

I put my cai intake on the day after i got the car. It only took about 20 minutes to put on and it looks and preforms great. I could not be any happier with it.

Have had mine on for just over a month now and LOVE it. Data logged IAT's 5-10 degrees below stock intake. No bucking. No surging and No codes!

americo: Installed the CAI from CAI on my Camaro today as well. Sounds great (deeper, more robust). Performance (by the seat of my pants dyno) seemed improved. No Codes. Awesome craftsmanship.

Have we all forgot about ADM.( shamless plug).....i've had the CAI Cai.....and when it gets hot out...it does soak.

I would alway prefer a polymer box. though i've talked at length with CAI main guy...and he is a smart man.( former Submariner engineer)
However what intake do you get when your median ambient temp is 80*-90*PLUS...? fricking So. Florida

Your Box is extremely well made, and kudo's on your performance gains. It does look very cool too! And is a Proven performer as is ADM (remeber the adm /race wasn't tested in that Camaro test.

I found no difference in IAT's between the CAI inc and a Polymer( Volant) Box on my GTO

In fact, in a colder enviorment( like Canada) maybe a i would opt for a well engineered shielded aluminum box.
