2013 Seats in a 2010 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I probably should have asked this before purchasing but I shouldn't have any issues putting 2013 seats in my 2010 Correct? Both are leather, heated, and power.

I vaguely remember some post that some of the wiring connectors are different, but I don't remember any details.

You'll have to swap over and wire in the passenger seat track position sensor.

Ugh. I cant find anything on this. All of my searches discuss aftermarket seats. I guess Ill just wing it once I start the swap

It's on here. It's how I found out about it and learned how to do it. Read the threads, even if it's about aftermarket seats because it is in one of those threads. I just can't remember exactly.

Here you go. You have to dig through it because it is about putting a power track in a 2010, but step 8 and 9 talk about the sensor and later he confirms he had to transfer the position sensor from the manual track to the power track.

The link "Camarocracka" posted is the one I used when I did my seat. Worked like a charm and very straight forward. It made easier sense to me when I had both seats in front of me so I can see/touch exactly what is in the posts.

I think 12+ seats have power passenger seat, I'm not sure if anything additional is needed to make sure that works or not or if that is plug ad play .

Thanks everyone! im a little overwhelmed skimming those links but im sure ill make it work. Im assuming the drivers seat and rear seats will bolt right in and then ill have a bit of a project with the passenger seat. It may make more sense when I have the new seat and old seat in front of me.

Focus on entries 2, 4, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14 and 17. They are the ones involved with the sensor switch. You basically remove the pin from the old seat harness plug and cut the other end of that wire from the old seat harness that goes through the sensor. Mount the sensor from the old seat on the new seat and then splice the wire and plug from the old seat harness to the new seat harness and insert the pin that is on the other end of that into the new seat plug at the correct spot. Clear as mud?

I picked up the seats this weekend. They are in my buddy's basement for now. Gonna be a springtime project. Drivers seat has a little tear so I wanna get that repaired before the install.

My 2010 has power seats in both the driver/passenger. I do not believe it is year specific unless it was a base model Camaro without power seats.
