I absolutely agree that is the case, but I really like the styling of the C7 a ton better. The C8 is an excellent performer, beating demons with more than double the HP in a drag race, taking on Ferraris, porches, etc and kicking there asses it is an awesome car. But that comes with some trade offs. I love the way the C7 looks.

I don’t like gm’s over all exterior styling much at all right now. I feel like they want to slap the same basic overall failed front end design of the early 6th Gen Camaro on everything. As far as Trucks are concerned the new trucks are excellent and although again the outside styling isn’t my favorite they are much better than the outgoing trucks. That says a lot because I absolutely loved the ‘18 Sierra 2500 I just traded off for the new silverado. That L8T is a try and utter bad ass!

True, for quite a while now they have liked to spread the front end styling across the line. While in Monticello I also got to drive the new ZR2 silverado.......it is by far the baddest off road vehicle on the market! And although they wouldn't let me drive it, I did everything but take the panties off the 24 Silverado EV......the exact truck that was in the super bowl commercial. Not really a EV guy, but that truck will be a game changer in that market.

For me the GM fizzle faded after the gen 5 Camaro and the C6 Corvette. A friend of mine has a c7 and they are very nice, but it just doesn't do it for me.

I'm even on the verge of selling my Silverado as well. I love that truck but the usefulness of it is fading.

Hmmm, a 2 door e muscle car with a shifter and real exhaust noise

This is what GM should have done as a Camaro

Hmm… an electric with an exhaust system… sounds about as lame as ford pumping V8 sounds thru the speakers on the eco junk mustangs. (The latter is a real thing funny enough) just give me the damn V8 Heres the thing for me, if they are trying to make it an electric muscle car and imitate a V8, than they are already admitting that the EV muscle car isn’t what people in that market really want. Why would they need to make the EV sound like a V8 if it was truly so bad ass that everyone wanted it in its raw form?

At the end of the day, I work in oil and gas for a living. Gasoline/diesel isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The new lighting proves that. Towing a 6,000 lb trailer less 100 miles on a full charge isn’t going to cut it in the real world. Pickups are where the big three get the majority of the profits to spend on designing and building most of the rest of their product lines. The average people who actually use their trucks for more than Harry home owner chores aren’t gonna put up with less than 100 miles of work.

That, my friend, is a beautiful thing. Never cared at all for the new Challengers, but that? I'd rock that in a New York minute.

Yeah, I don't care for the fake sounds. As I understand it, Tesla does it too. You can turn on the sound of a bad ass cammed engine. Nope. That's just too much poser going on. But I do like the looks of that car. (The Mopar in the link above.) Man.

It's supposably the amplified sound of the electric motors. I got to admit though it kind of sold me when I first saw the front end and then the growl sound it makes. I think I would have one for a daily if I could ever afford one but my 5th gen isn't going anywhere.

I love the way it looks and the sound is kind of cool. I’d really like to hear it at WOT. Next they have to add a idle lope sound and a shake feature That it comes with a shifter and an “exhaust” I’m sure they’ll be better SEMA versions …already thinking mods!

They have left me behind and I’ve been a life long GM fan. It’s a sad time for me, I even stayed loyal in the bail out years. Other than a new truck (not even a Tahoe or suburban, IRS killed those for me) a C8 or a ZL1 are the only things I’d currently entertain, the C8 isn’t the highest on my list but it’s a great performer, I’d take a C7 over a C8 any day in all honesty.
agreed!

To be honest, I thought I knew how to drive.....made 3 laps in a 23 Z51 Vette and thought my 4th was a hot lap. Afterwards I got to sit in the passenger seat with a professional driver for 1 lap. That's when I learned I might, maybe, possibly, but probably not qualify to drive the pace car! I loved the track, and loved the area. Stayed at Resorts World Catskills and that was fabulous! One of the best trips I've went to for General Motors!!
