Just get one solid 12 and a true 1000 watt amp and port it through the back deck. That will be plenty for you then.

I went through the same thing recently in my 1SS. Called up Steve over at ******** and he put together a 12" kicker CVR and 400w amp. It's way more than what I need in my car when on max, but turned down just a bit it gives amazing bass with very clear tone. Set me back less than $600 too.

very random question buddy. Buying a stereo system is like buying a car. You need to set your budget 1st. Once your budget is set, go from there. And like cars, there are several models of speakers with the same name. IE several V6 and V8 models, several models of each speaker and amp. So before it goes further, what is your budget?

Go to crutchfield.com and the site will tell you what fits your car and a price of the speakers. If all you want is to replace factory speakers. Remember, you get what you pay for. You may be able to replace the speakers in your car for $400. Will be entry level audio speakers though.
Remember, without an amplifier, the speakers will be powered by the stock radio. So the quality will not change much. |

I replaced all of my speakers for under 400 and it improved the quality. I am waiting for Alpines dash kit to put in my subs and amps.

I got your message but for some reason I cant respond or send any messages right now. I use alot of Memohis amps and subs, theyre good pricing and great sound. Just picked MMATS back up again and they have some great stuff but a little bit higher in price. Kicker has always made good products also. The only thing thats gonna kill you is the $400 budget. Gonna be hard to get a median amp and sub for that. If you could stretc it to about $600-$700. That could get you a good sub like the Memphis C3 and a 1000x1 amp.
