jump in insurance is likely to be substantial...power to weight wise anyway...

I have a TPW of 3/7...ordered it at Terryville in CT. They're the largest Camaro and Corvette dealer in CT. Can't really comment on anything else about them yet though. They're not the closest dealer to me, but not that far either. Your best bet if you want to order is going to a high volume Camaro dealer since they'll have Camaro allocation to fill your order with...or you're probably never going to see the car.

when I said I wanted it for MSRP. I wouldn't buy a thing from them now. O'Neill Chevy here in Avon has had a new '16 Red SS sitting out in front, It's the first '16 I've seen in person. Nice looking... Just in case anyone is interested.

Picked up a 2SS the other night. Coming from an 09 Z06, really liking the power and handling. Not liking how the seat won't recline. I have short legs/long torso, so I like to recline my seating position a little more than most. Waiting for the dealer to call me back with an answer to see if they can do anything about it.

Frayles - First off... congrats!! Second... When I saw you mentioned Sudbay & then noticed your "location" I got all exited to find someone else in my area & had to reply, lol! Glad you had a good experience with them - don't have my car yet and been thinking about where to go. Was just wondering if you talked to any of the other local dealers before you decided on them? Any insights you wouldn't mind sharing?

Thanks, Red Devil! I absolutely love the car as it's a beast.
I spoke to a few dealers before settling on Sudbay and in reality my first call should have been to Sudbay as I had a great experience with them back in 2012 when I bought a new Equinox for my wife. Tom Abbott is a fantastic salesman and there was absolutely no BS to deal with. I threw a few numbers at them with regards to what I wanted to pay for a factory ordered 2SS. Two phone calls later with Tom and I was at the dealership placing my order back in January. I initially was going to deal with Lannan Chevy as they offered the car at $250 under invoice. I showed up with all my research and the invoice pricing from cars.com. After configuring the car the way I wanted, their invoice price was about $1100.00 more than the number I had in front of me. So minus the $250 it was still 850 more than I was expecting. When I confronted the salesman about the discrepancy I got the song and dance about how the dealer advertising fees were rolled into their invoice price. I told him there was no advertising they needed to do as I was there ordering the car. They wouldn't budge and ultimately let 45+ dollars walk out the door. I'm not bad mouthing Lannan by any stretch of the the imagination, but the numbers game left a bad taste in my mouth. I also spoke to Muzi who was offering the car at invoice. I never got far in the process with them as it was just a proximity thing as they were a lot further away than Lannan and Sudbay. If I can be of any more help please hit me up with a PM and I'll be more than willing to answer any questions you have. Quote:

This is awesome, thanks so much for sharing! I had heard of some definite negative experiences with certain dealers - like Lannan, Commonwealth - but most places in our area had such profoundly mixed reviews that I feel like it's hard to get a handle on who would actually result in a good experience. I plan on waiting a few more months to save up a bit more money but I would love to take you up on your offer when the time comes. Incidentally, do you like Sudbay for service as well? |

I have no complaints about Sudbay's service department at all. I have had a few of my cars up there for service/warranty related fixes and never had an issue. I have also used Herb Chambers in Danvers and they have been really good as well. Herb Chambers was used just as they are a much shorter drive for me.

Just ordred mine today from Macmulkin in Nashua, NH went to three separate dealerships they gave me the best rate for my trade in and were 100% polite and professional. Gonna be hard to let my 5th Gen go I love the car I hope it shows up faster then the 4-8 week quoted time.
