New Design Camber Plates Poll
EDIT 1-15-17 Hey guys I add a poll at the top of the thread to make it easier to vote. Our desire is to make the best product available to the community. Your reply helps us accomplish our goal. So thank you in advance for the feed back!
Hey guys, we just finished the camber plates for the Gen 6 Camaro. While we were at it, we figured we would also re-engineer our gen 5. There's several benefits to the new design. I will posting more info on our Facebook page once we get a moment. We have over 30 other suspension components in line for production for the 5th gen market, so subscribe for updates. In the meantime, I wanted to get your thoughts on which ones you guys like best. Thanks for the feedback. Justin OPTION 1: Flat top surface OPTION 2: Machined pockets Sneak peak at our new roller thrust bearing design and housing. This is replacing the previous design with a ball bearing. Much better design to handle loads. Over a ton of metal waiting to get machined into Gen 5 parts. Few pics of our gen 6 prototype plates. Already started production. All the parts will be either anodized or nickle plated. These will offer the option of lowering the front a from a 1/4" or 1/2" without losing any travel. This pic is showing the interference when using the factory spring isolator. This is what forced us to raise the ride height 5mm with our last design. The new design will replace the isolator all together thereby allowing us to keep them at factory height.

thanks I will be watching for the sale. I believe the flat would be better and voted that way because I believe all of those extra holes will just collect dust and dirt for the guys that clean under the hood means more work.
Do you guys sell any rear solid sub frame bushings for the z28 |

Flat top with new style roller bearing to eliminate the ride height increase. Or offer a roller bearing conversion kit for existing camber plates.

All good points! thanks for the feedback guys
We have done stress analysis on both models and they have shown that stress concentrates around the bolt holes. They do not take any suspension loads, only bolt torque load from clamping the strut tower. While the first design is definitely stronger overall, both designs are comfortably under the yield point in the pocket areas! The dust/dirt concern is a good point! taking these all into consideration! |
