When was the last time you changed the fuel filter. Fuel mileage concerns always make me question the filter first, then perhaps check the plugs, coils, etc.

Your weather is similar to mine here in southern Arizona, USA. My altitude is over 3000 feet above sea level, so out air is thin. While I only have a V6, I drive it like a Camaro should ("spirited and cruising") and average 22mpg.

Not sure about the V6. But the fuel filter on the V8 is located inside the fuel tank.

I was at the auto parts one day for some car washing products. The clerk at the register pointed out that they had the fuel system cleaner on sale and it could increase my MPGs. I replied, "I didn't buy an SS for fuel mileage. Will it give me more power?" He got quiet and rang up my purchase.

I get 14-15 city on my v6 and I drive pretty hard if I get out in the open down drive highway very much at all but I get 19 doing 65 mph
