2013 ZL1 What’s it worth?

Right now the car market is at a point that most of us have never seen. Cars are commanding top dollar. I am casually considering selling it and was wondering if anyone has a feel for what the market might bring.

2013 ZL1 Coupe, black, automatic, sunroof. Garage kept. This car has NEVER seen rain, or snow. 29k miles. Immaculate .

Now for the goodies…….RotoFab CAI, DSX E85 , ATI 22.5 OD pulley, ID1085 Injectors, DSX auxiliary fuel pump, LT stainless headers, 2.5 Supercats, brand new Michelin PS4 tires all around. Tuned by Ted from JRE

RotoFab CAI, ATI Balancer, 22.5% OD pulley, Dynatech 1 7/8” LT headers with Dynatech HF cats, DSX auxiliary pump, DSX flex fuel sensor, ID1050x injectors, 174 Thermostat , Moroso catch can , Metco breather, Aeroforce Interceptor gauge , JRE Tune, ..that’s all (for now).

I am addicted to power, will work for mods.

The goodies aren't goodies to a buyer...except the rare one. Condition, miles and market dictate price. Depending on your market, I would guess $35-$40k.

The spike in the used car market will be short lived, unless something else upsets new car parts supplies.

Already seeing prices slip down a bit as inventory builds back up and dealers need to move em out.

The Camaro is not being built right now and production is slated to begin late September for the 22 model year and that is not written in stone. So the price someone said of 35-40 is realistic. There are very few if any Camaros on the dealer lots now so I would say if your going to sell now is the time.

I’m keeping mine. When they ban new cars with gasoline engines you’ll miss this modern classic Z.

I traded my 2012 with 14k miles for a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. They gave me 41k for the ZL1 and the Jeep was 41K. So it was even trade.. They are asking 47K for the ZL1

Used car market is crazy high right now due to the shortages of new/used cars on dealer lots. Depending on your specific area of the country (and obviously depending on if it is truly immaculate) I could genuinely see the right buyer giving you 42k-43k for it. I would say higher than that if it was stock or nearly stock, but I believe you have done just a little too much modifying and most buyers will subtract a bit of cash from their offer due to the uncertainty when buying a modified vehicle.

At a dealer you could get about 38k and they'll turn around and advertise it for ~45k-46k (and take the first offer of 44k).

I am starting to see the market come down just a hair though - I believe the used market has peaked and is starting to taper down. It will be a very slow descent (much slower than the ascent) but I do believe if you intend to sell, doing it now will benefit you the most.

Let us know what develops. That price seems really optimistic to me.

Most people are looking to sell their car while the used car prices are high, or trade it for a new car getting the currently inflated value of used cars from their old car and get into a brand new one with warranty. Used for used doesn't help most people now as they can get a new car for the price of a 4 year old one.
