Holley claims that the pickup mats will completely empty the fuel tank. The mats are what NASCAR and other racing bodies use in their fuel tanks. Also the holley pump set up has a strong venturi to pull the fuel from the other side of the fuel tank.
But, as with all in tank fuel pumps you want to always keep at least 1/4 of a tank of fuel to keep the pumps cool. It extends the pump life!

Vic makes a great point on keeping the fuel cool. As far as a bucket goes, some pumps are just too big or not designed to fit in one. You can always go the surge tank route, but it's more expensive.

I spoke to racetronix yesterday and they told me they have a module in the works for our cars. They said that they are currently in the process of moving into a new building and that is halting the r and d needed for the module but the plan on having something out on the coming months. So I'll keep an eye out for that. And thanks guys for all your recommendations. If racetronix takes too long I'll just have to go a different route with holley or something like that.

for the guy running a1000 are you running a return which im sure you are. and are you using a controller or just running pump constant full 12v.
