Good to know. Didn’t think they’d be good for tracking @ my hp level — more for ‘street’ miles. Just don’t want to eat the Toyos up so fast...

Well, fest again was really fun!

Hung out with the Memphis and Music City Clubs -- was a hoot!

Robert Taylor (SSE 4 2SS) hung out with us and man, he has some amazing stories! Robert, it was a pleasure and a load of fun hanging out!

While I was at Beech Bend, got me a nice shirt made:

Overall a great time...

Now the Nitto NT555 G2s were excellent! We had a lot of rain on the way back and these tires did what I expected -- REALLY glad I had them installed before leaving. Nice ride, pretty quiet, performed as I expected.

Car did great, had to run some 93 when I couldn't get E -- lots of places in Tennessee have E85 on I40 thankfully.

Memphis and Texarkana did not have any e85 thus the reason...

Glad you made it back safe. We had a little rain after heading out around 10:00. Not too bad tho. Fun hanging out with ya. Glad to meet Robert, cool guy.

Yeah, it was fun hanging out — Bahama Breeze is a must stop for us ;o)

We had a lot of rain on the way back — once in Texas, cleared up. Driving through Arkansas is a bummer though... they need 3 lane roads...

The whole trip to Fest and meeting everyone get better each year...

Can’t wait for next year...

All the time hanging out, and never once looked over the cars closely... bummer big time... I was so thrilled meeting new folks and seeing old friends, the cars fell to the back burner...

You owe me a tour in person when we meet up next...

I left Saturday evening as soon as we could load johns car, and we headed west... 6:30 fuel in BG, I dropped John in College Station at 6:30 am, and I was home at 9:00 am, with tacos in hand... we were concerned with the possibility of the hurricane and I prefer to drive at night, less trucks, less cars, less troopers...

Fuel stops in Arkansas are sketchy as well, very few diesel stops... not a fan of “truck” stops...

And nice shirt... I considered one with Brandi in the sunset but wasn’t sure... oh well, next year...

Yeah, we’ll get to a tour sometime ;o)

Earle exit has a BP with diesel, North Little Rock too off of I40

E85 pretty much only in the Little Rock area for me as far as Arkansas.

Just easy rain luckily on the way back — and traffic, lots of traffic... ugh

Shirt turned out nice... glad I did it...

Looking forward to next time!

Recaro seat repair

Well, the Recaro's were showing a bit of wear on the 'seams':

This is just normal wear/tear getting in and out so, I purchases this set:

From AutoLeatherDye.com

Automotive Leather & Vinyl Damage Repair Kit × 1

Auto Kit Dye Size: 16oz - front + back seats
Car Manufacturer: GM
GM Dye Color: Black - GM5

I followed this video:

And it was very easy to do.

Here it is afterwards:

Now, I have enough to do all the seats along with all the repair items for cracks/rips.

Wanted to get this taken care of before it wears down and cracks ;o)

I have to let it sit 4 to 6 hours before I can actually 'use' it. I'll seal the seat using the CarPros leather sealant -- kinda like a 'soft' quarts sealant ;o)

Wanted to report on the Nitto NT555 G2s and a few other items.

First the Nittos:

Over 2000 miles since I installed them (Right before leaving for Fest). Wear has been fantastic, ride is very good, noise is at a minimum, wet traction is confidence inspiring (at my HP level) - very impressed so far. I've experimented with tire pressures and I'm finding 34 PSI front (cold) and 32 PSI rear (cold) see to be a good point in this hot weather. They warm up quick, have pretty good traction (nothing like the Toyo's though). So far, I'd get them again...

The racing lug nuts have not budged a single bit -- holding steady -- re-torqued them before and after fest, perfect.

Car is running fantastic -- very happy with the way Mark has the VVE tables setup -- wonderful.

Found a leak in the meth setup -- where I added the AEM gauge to the hoses. Meth and Teflon tape don't like each other. I had to put blue loctite in its place on the aluminum fitting on the meth meter and let it sit overnight -- that finally did it. No leaks and I've tested the meth 'a couple of times' ;o)

Transmission is working flawlessly -- GPI (Mike and Ryan) did a great job getting this built and dialed in -- very please with this 'combo' setup.

6th Gen Radius Rods with the BMR spherical bushings have worked flawlessly -- the return to center is very noticeable with the extra caster.

Overall, running, driving, and performing great.

All I can really do is some light work and driving it -- which is still a blast -- she has a lot in her to give ;o)

Apologies... I blame the strokes, but I've always been this way...

It was fun listening to the stories...

While I'm waiting for the recovery to get better, I've decided to improve my oil cooling a bit more by going with the Earl's 42 row cooler (vs my Mishimoto 25 row):

http://www.improvedracing.com/earls-...ler-p-547.html

Should give me a bit more room for temps while racing.

Also, to save about 40 lbs of weight, this is in the plans (NOT CHEAP) but a quick way to reduce weight:

https://shop.antigravitybatteries.co...tive/ag-h7-rs/

Considering all of the 'other' measures I was taking, this one seems to be a less expensive way for me to lose 40 lbs (VS Carbon Fiber fenders, doors, roof, trunk, etc.)!

Will need a new trickle charger but, 20 minutes of time to loose 40 lbs!

That should help offset the meth in the back too and still lose ~10 lbs...
