Ill check the dust boot?I used whatever came with. The whole shifter assembly the boot and the knob. Could it be the pin and fork I didn't see any sound deaden material

The hurst shifter I installed in my car is terrible, just ordered an MGW. Once I get back from deployment I will do a heads up comparision of shift throw and what not between the two.

It a zl1 shifter short throw with the hurst handle the noise is coming from the pin and fork I believe

I had the chance to go through the gears on both the aftermarket Hurst and the MGW at a local meet recently. The MGW wins hands down for my taste. Very minimal horizontal movement between 1-2 and 3-4. Have also the opinion (although not personally) that their customer service is great.
