who's using the Paddle shifters?
I've had my 2lt for about 3 months now and I driven manual transmissions for a lot of years but really haven't discovered a practical use for the paddle shifters. I've played around in traffic a bit but was wondering how people were using them and if they found them to be of any real value...maybe I need to work with them more?

i only use them when i feel like having a little fun.. then when i'm done, i just put it back in D. no real value IMO. Leaving it in sport mode is better for racing.

I think they're kind of silly...
Maybe they have a purpose at the drag strip, but in town, not so much.

I use them whenever I wish some sporting??? feeling. Most of the time I use S modeand on tne highways in normal mode.
Will have some new exhaust and CAI next spring, might use tap shift more often though.

I occasionally play with the paddles, but mostly I just drive in S.

I mess with them occasionaly, but no real need. Between their akward fixed placement on the wheel (which sucks while turning), and the lag to actually shift gears...... I've found them to be quite useless.
As everyone else has said, Sport Mode will yield more satisfying driving.

I love them on hills and windy roads. I like keeping the RPM around 2500 coming down a curvy hill so I am not on the brakes all the time. It is difficult to use the paddle shifters during a turn but I do all my braking and shifting just before the turns, then power coming out of the turn.

Mess with the paddle shifters around town a little, but for the drag strip nothing beats the computer for shifting ! The beauty of a L99 !!

I use them to downshift when coming up to a red light. Wife slams the brakes on when she drives. I like to hear and feel the downshifting, and gradually use the brakes. She usually yells at me "This isnt your Jeep, Derek!!"

I use mine every time I drive my Camaro, the paddle shifters are awesome, I love winding out the gears and listening to the sound of my LT's and Corsa exhaust, many people think my car is a stick, the paddle shifters are definitely one of my favorite things about these awesome Camaros.

Don't use the paddles but use tapshift exclusively. Definately makes the car much more fun to drive for me.

I've been using them more now that's a little warmer. a few times in the winter, only to get going and start in 2nd, rather than 1st. Will be doing it much more come April when my SOLO CB goes on!

I've used them a few times, but the shifts are so soft and laggy it seems rather pointless so I just leave it in S or D now. If I want to shift I jump in the SS and start rowing ...
