Does anyone have a picture of the stock caps? I am just wondering if you have to go to Jannety caps for this really to be effective. Also, does anyone know if the diff has to dissasembled to install the Jannety caps? I looked on thier website but could not find anything. I am thinking that the old caps come off, then a machinist would mike the diff shaft and final machine the caps...Any help is greatly appreciated!

Checked and have 1/16" clearance - BECAUSE the factory gasket (metal w/ 'o-ring') was not used as gasket forming material was used. If the factory gasket was used, my guess I would be touching.

Being that there is only a 1/16", I will have to address this.

As for LPW grinding down the cover for add'l clearance - yes it is the right thing to do.

Probably a dumb question, but does the differential have to be completely removed to install the cover? Can you remove the bolts and lower it just enough on a jack stand to swap it out? I will have to pay to get it done, so I hoping to save the labor fee for disassembly.

Hey guys..I gotta bring this thread back to life....I have the LPW cover and getting ready to do my gear swap. I have read in another thread on here of a guy who claims that his 3" exhaust was interfering with the cover having some clearance issues..I also have a 3" exhaust...was wondering if any of you guys have a 3" exhaust with no issues or am I gonna have to sell this cover
