Before I put on my exhaust I mostly drove in D, since then I usually drop it into Sport for general driving and when in town or the backroads I drive in Manual, on the highway I am usually in Drive.

I'd say...
60% in M mode - usually on highway so my car doesn't down-shift when unnecessary. 30% is S mode - around town, commuting to school. 10% in D mode - usually when I'm babying my car lol. |

To me tapshift has no performance wise purpose.
It's totally useless on the track, but if you get a kick out of using it around town then great. Just not for me. |

Simply shifting into "M" (Manual Mode) puts your tranny in Sport Mode (see #2). Your tranny will not actually go into Manual shift mode unless you use your tap shifters (either + [right side] or - [left side]). If you do this, you can upshift (+) or downshift (-) through the gears by tapping the shifters. When you are using the tap shifters, there will be a "M" to the left of the odometer. This allows you to control the shift points and you can go to higher RPMs in each gear without going really fast. Try it - you really should know your car's capabilities, even if you never use them again. And don't worry... the computer won't allow you to tear up your tranny. Quote:

99.9% of the time in manual mode. It takes me .1 to get it into manual mod.
