This one being about the convertible tops is valid through April of 2014. I hope this is the final fix for this issue and none of you have problems ever again. I hope this helps to answer your questions and if you need to know if your vehicle is involved send me your VIN and I will respond as soon as I can.

Is VIN 2G1FT3DW1B9163484 affected by this?

You can always go the customer service route - and perhaps a buy back or some sort of agreeable compensation.

(We're turning in our vert today for these very reasons).

Kind of discouraging when the corporate office can't efficiently get the correct information out, and most forum members know more than the dealerships.

I just called my dealer and got shrugging shoulders again. Upon giving the service writer the latest update details and a hint on where to look, he found the new bulletin. Mine goes in Monday. Here is the sad part...sounds like they are going to do SUX2BU's fix. No real progress seems to have been made.

CSP (new) = Voluntary Recall (old). They just changed the name to protect the innocent. There may be some that want to argue, but in effect, it's exactly the same. Either/or, call it what makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. At least GM is taking action BEFORE someone tells them they need to. So that's a + for GM.

I just hope they incorporate all the fixes at the factory level before I get around to ordering my ZL1 convertible.

EDIT: Correction GM has a standard for the top to be replaced in the older TSB's as well

I fear that GM will never get this top to look good, but is is very quiet and does not leak. The rub marks are becoming holes and the dealership is hacking away at the wrong parts in an attempts to fix the problem.

Louisiana gives them 4 attempts, they have used up three in my case. I love this car and hate the top headaches.

I have about 5k invested in mods but, if I have to I will cram this car back down GM's throat and have them spit me out a new one.

I called my dealer today to schedule an appointment for the CSP. They seemed to know about it and did not give me any issues. It will be going in on Monday for the assesment and or fixes.

My marks are pretty minor and I have no wind noises, water leaks or 5th bow issues so I hope this will take care of it since I really don't want a new top based on the marks I have.
